Installation of a Website Blog

Blogging is becoming a worldwide trend as the Internet these days is full of various weblogs. While there are many services to cater bloggers, you might want to go for something that allows you to have more control so you might go for quality blog script. The following is a simple guide in PHP script for blogging along with installation of a website blog and setting up script to work properly.
First, you would need to know the web hosting requirements. You should be sure that your web host has PHP support which should be 4.1 version or higher and MySQL database should be 3.23.23 or higher. If you do not know what version your web host provider use then inquire from them.
If you are installing a website blog, this is typically how it goes:
You will have to download pre-installed scripts from developers website for free. Then you will have to save the *.zip file on your hard disk and unpack these files using a software such as WinZip or any that works the same. Put these on temporary folder. Remove the sample from the name of the file that is from wp-config-sample.php file to wp-config.php. After which you will have to open this file in any text editor you prefer to edit variables including the name of the MySQL database, your username for the database, password, and MySQL database server. After editing, you will then have to upload all files to your web host. Point browser to /wp-admin/install.php and simply do the instructions on the screen. An admin password gets generated while installation is going on so take note of the password since it is necessary for the following step.
A simpler approach in installing the same PHP script is to sign up for a good web hosting service which provides pre-installed PHP scripts. You will simply go to your control panel and go the section with pre-installed scripts and select for instance WordPress. The installer will automatically run the job for you so you will only need to select the script you want to get installed.
Once script installation is completed, point browser to wp-login.php file in the folder say WordPress and sign in using the username admin and the password created during the installation. You can change your password from the Profile section any time you want.
Better find a web hosting company that has pre-installed scripts to make installation of a website blog a lot easier and faster.
